Seniors’ Centres – St. Matthew’s House has two seniors’ programs offering a range of social and recreational activities, practical assistance and crisis support.


Home2Stay – The Home2Stay program assists individuals 55 years of age and older, who are homeless, to find safe, sustainable housing.


Transitional Housing – St. Matthews House provides shared housing for 7 men who are at risk of homelessness and are seeking permanent housing.


Mental Health Outreach – An outreach worker provides support and links to services for adults living with mental illness on the street or in unstable housing.


Emergency Food and Practical Assistance – Two food banks provide three days of emergency food once a month to individuals and families (including our seniors) who have exhausted their resources.  Staff provide practical assistance with problem solving, and access to helpful information and community resources.


Income Tax Assistance – Income Tax Clinics are provided each year in March and April for families, individuals and seniors.  These free clinics are provided for those who qualify based on their income levels.
